The name King’s Town Massage Therapy was developed by my husband who also played a big role in my decision to start a business in Kingston. While living in Toronto, we made frequent visits to Kingston as a way to relax and relieve stress. As a professional who helps others relax, it only made perfect sense for me to build a career and business where I feel at my maximum level of relaxation. King’s Town Massage Therapy’s beautiful location will encourage you to feel an instant sense of calming relaxation once you start your 2 kilometre drive down Hughes Road. You will be far removed from the city traffic so that you can take some time for yourself and focus on what’s most important to you: your health and pain-free lifestyle.
Providing my treatments and services through King’s Town Massage Therapy home based practice allows me to have the flexibility to work and raise my family. I understand how important it is to have flexibility in your schedule and allow yourself time to relax. My clients can be assured that I will do my best to work within their schedules so that they can benefit from my services. It is important for them to also know that I will have their best interests in mind when they are given my treatment. My massage techniques are centralized to one area of the body while surveying the broad concept of massage therapy. Previous clients have noted that my techniques are positively different from other massage therapists because of my combined practice of deep tissue with relaxation. King’s Town Massage Therapy’s referral based clientele speaks volumes of the success and satisfaction that my clients have with my services. Come experience for yourself what everybody else has been feeling through greater relaxation and decreased tension.
As the owner and founder of King’s Town Massage Therapy (KTMT), I have been practicing Massage Therapy since June 2008. I am in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and I am a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario (RMTAO). I have earned additional training in specialized Massage Therapy techniques including Hot Stone, Ultrasound, and TENS. I am also a Massage Therapy instructor at a local college. I have built my practice by using a variety of techniques that are specific to my clients’ needs through deep therapeutic treatments.
The saying “love what you do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” rings true to my practice. After many great years of working in a multidisciplinary team-based clinic, I made the transition in 2013 to start my own home-based massage therapy clinic. Within my home-based massage therapy clinic, I am rated #1 RMT in the household. As your Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), I hope you’ll also agree! It is my goal to build a rapport with my clients so that I can learn more about their lifestyle choices and how those choices are connected to the root of their pain. In addition, building this bond fosters my clients’ trust with my techniques and approaches. I want to know what works best for them and what doesn’t so that they receive the most benefits from my services. I love to help people meaningfully get back to their activities of daily living and learn about their own sources of pain. It is an empowering feeling for myself and my clients. Most of all, I love to help them realize that pain is not normal at any age! When you feel pain in your body, it’s not because you’ve reached a certain age. Pain is the body’s way of telling you that it needs to be in good hands. I hope you choose my hands to help you along that journey toward improved quality of life!
